Delta comenzó a retirar sus L1011 a mediados de los 90, algunos encontraron nuevos dueños pero los modelos más antiguos no volvieron a volar. Es el caso de este Tristar, cuya única utilidad que tuvo a lo largo de los años siguientes fue aparecer en la peli SWAT (remake de la serie de TV "los hombres de Harrelson") en 2003
