Entre 1962 y 1966 EE.UU. entregó a Tailandia 20 F-86L, donde fueron designados Fighter type 17A y se convirtió en el avión de combate más avanzado con que contó esos años la Royal Thai Air Force portando dos misiles Sidewinder y 24 cohetes.
En exhibición en el museo de la RTAF en Don Mueang.
