Durante la temporada turística del 96-97 se empezaron a ver de nuevo las charters en Los Rodeos, siendo las primeras en operar Condor, Transavia y Lauda, aunque esta última solo lo hizo durante unos meses... Pronto le siguieron Finnair y LTU. Empezaba una época bastante amena para el spoteo en TFN.
