Por estas fechas ya empezaron a visitar la base de Reus los primeros aviones norteamericanos. Aquí vemos a este ya veterano torpedero de la US Navy despertando la curiosidad de los soldados de la base. Los Avengers eran torpederos basados en portaviones que participaron en la IIGM principalmente en el teatro del Pacífico. Pronto serían retirados ante la llegada de los nuevos aviones a reacción.
