Probablemente haciendo su primera aparición fuera de Colombia,el RIAT 2012 contó con la presencia de este entrenador básico de la Fuerza Aérea de Colombia.
Este modelo, construido conjuntamente por CIAC (Corporación de la Industria Aeronáutica Colombiana S.A) y la firma norteamericana Lancair, es el primer avión totalmente construido en el país, siendo un desarrollo del modelo Legacy LG de Lancair.
