Algunas webs lo dan como "Air Berlin (Germania)" e incluso alguna como Germania. Air Berlin tiene un 49,9% de Niki y otro 49% de Belair, pero no tiene participación en Germania. Germania compró el 64% de DBA (DBA Luftfahrtgesellschaft mbH), la cual quedó integrada en Air Berlin. Las dos compañías mantienen estructuras comunes en el aeropuerto de Berlin y colaboran en muchos otros aspectos, como en la explotación de algunos aviones, como el D-AGEN.
