With 9 A380s visiting each day (QF 2x, KE 2x, SQ, AF, EK, CZ and BA), LAX has certainly become a 380 hotspot. Unfortunately, many of the 380 departures utilize 24L as the taxi route is much shorter. However, due to this being the longest 380 flight in the world at 16 1/2 hours, it must use the longer 25L giving us photographers a great opportunity to catch it rotating in great winter light. A big thanks goes out to Diego Mancilla for helping with this shot.

HKG really provides great windows for spotting. They are so wide and for the most part, really clean. What more could I ask for with a 2+ hour wait until my flight to Shanghai!?!

A wet and miserable day here at PVG which caused many delays. At least it gave me the opportunity to spend some more time taking pics! (:

SQ's inaugural A380 flight to LAX is seen here on final for 24R. The original 380 start date to LAX was in March, but due to the earthquake/tsunami that his Japan, this flight was postponed until now. It was sure worth the wait tho to see this beauty come to LA!
