An Iberia Airbus A340-300, registration EC-GUP performing flight IB-6830 from Santiago (Chile) to Madrid,SP (Spain), diverted to Asuncion (Paraguay) due to a young male passenger with strong abdominal pain on board. The airplane landed safely, the passenger was brought to a local hospital. The passenger was diagnosed with peritonitis in hospital.
