En el mes de Junio de 1978 se incorporan al 404 Ecuadrón siete nuevas unidades, con lo que se disuelve el 404 Escuadrón, formandose el Grupo 43 con dos Escuadrones el 431 y el 432. Este avión aún luce el distintivo del 404. Lo podemos ver amerizando en la Bahía de Palma.
