On board CVN-69 Eisenhower just before returning to Newport News Shipbuilding for an 18-month complex overhaul. The Hawkeye was assigned to VAW-121. This squadron is officially known as the "Griffins", but is more commonly known as the "Bluetails" as shown in their distinctive markings
