El AT-11 Kansan era una versión del ubicuo Beech 18 especializada en el entrenamiento de bombarderos y artilleros, para lo que disponía de un morro acristalado y, originalmente, una torreta dorsal que ha sido desmontada en el ejemplar de la foto (2504; c/n 1431), perteneciente a la Força Aérea Portuguesa. Es probable que las tripulaciones del P-2 Neptune que vemos detrás hayan hecho sus primeras armas en el pequeño Beech. (KR64; Nikon Coolscan V)
