First ever Full Special Scheme (besides tail arts) on a Portuguese F-16! And what's the better way to show it to the world? I tell you... by performing one of the most spectacular low passes that i have ever seen! This paint scheme celebrates the 50 years of the Monte Real Air Base, and this photo was taken during the Spotters Day. Ps: Check out the F-86 painted on top of the F-16's fuselage... Congratulations to everyone involved in this project!

Introducing the: APAU Tejo Tour! An event that will be held from 27/03/09 until 29/03/09, starting at LPCB (Castelo Branco) and ending at LPCS (Cascais, Tires)... always following the Tejo River's path. It will pass trough some historic cities of Portugal, and the best of all, is that the Tour can be followed by car, so that you don't miss none of the dozens of Ultralights! APAU also managed to get spotters credencials for the places were it will land during the tour. In this particular photo, we can see the area were the waters from the Tejo River and the ones from the Atlantic Ocean join, the city of Lisbon on the top left shore of the River, the city of Costa da Caparica on the top right, the Bugio Fortification in the middle of the water on the right, the São Julião Fortification just above the wingtip in the middle, the start of the Carcavelos Beach on the bottom left and between Lisbon and Carcavelos Beach, we have the Marginal: a fantastic road on the shore linking Lisbon-Carcavelos-Cascais that can be done by foot, bike, car or train! And what does this photo has in common with the APAU Tejo Tour? It's the view that you get when approaching the runway 35 at LPCS, the last point of the tour!
