En 1955 la FAC adquirió los primeros quince aviones de este tipo, añadiendo luego otros diez.
Asignados a la Base Aérea de Palanquero en Puerto Salgar.
Fueron retirados del servicio en 1966.
Durante esos once años, además de operar en territorio colombiano, participaron en misiones internacionales.
