Posiblemente la primera aparición en Europa -y seguro en el Salón de Farnborough- del C-17. Este avión en concreto acababa de ser entregado a su unidad operacional: 437th Airlift Wing con base en Charleston, SC. El primer Globemaster de esta unidad fue entregado en Junio de 1993
