Dirigiéndonos al aeródromo auxiliar de El Médano, situado en el Sur de Tenerife, muy próximo al actual Aeropuerto del Sur, Reina Sofía. Se puede observar que en esos años esta parte de la isla era puro desierto y las comunicaciones por tierra eran deficientes.
