Pertenece a un An-12 que fue derribado sobre Kuito (Angola) el 14.12.1998 por la guerrilla de la UNITA (Unión Nacional para la Independencia Total de Angola) durante la Guerra Civil que asoló a la excolonia portuguesa durante casi tres décadas. Fallecieron sus 10 ocupantes
