Este DC-9 es alta en la flota de Iberia el 30 de Octubre de 1972, es bautizado "Ciudad de Badajoz". Finalmente es vendido este avión en EEUU, siendo matriculado N521MD. Lo podemos ver aquí en Gando delante de unos edificios que parecen almacenes, por supuesto hoy inexistentes.
