Los aeropuertos debieron de adaptarse ante la llegada de los Jumbos. En El Prat entonces no había todavía fingers y tuvieron que adquirir nuevas escaleras, más altas, para que los pasajeros pudieran acceder a las puertas de embarque del 747. Todavía recuerdo la impresión que me causó al subir a un Jumbo por primera vez, al ver el personal y los coches de mantenimiento desde lo alto de esas escaleras. Y es que el Jumbo era, y es todavía, un avión grande en todos los sentidos.
