El T33A fue el primer reactor que tuvo el Ejercito del Aire. Los primeros 6 aviones, de un total de 58, llegaron en Marzo de 1954 y equiparon la recientemente creada Escuela de Reactores (Escuadrones 731 y 732). El ejemplar aqui fotografiado fue ex USAF 52-9943.
