Este IAR 93DC (Dubla Comanda, o doble mando) pertenece a la segunda preserie fabricada de este avión yugo-rumano. Las aristas rojas que flanquean el morro del aparato serían posteriormente eliminadas. La falta de un reactor con postquemador adecuado limitó mucho las características de este diseño.
